CHIVAS SPEAR’S Russia Awards: Ruben Vardanian Named PBWM Industry Legend

CHIVAS SPEAR’S Russia Wealth Management Awards 2011, the annual ceremony organized to celebrate the achievements of professionals and firms from private banking, wealth management and related industries, was held on November 17 at the Et Cetera theater in Moscow. The ceremony was hosted by Tatiana Lazareva, Mikhail Shatz and Alexander Pushnoy.

VTB24 Private Banking was named Russian Private Bank of the Year. Credit Suisse was selected Foreign Private Bank of the Year providing services to HNWIs in Russia. Bank Julius Baer & Co. was distinguished as the best foreign private bank servicing wealthy Russians outside the country.

VTB Capital Investment Management received the Asset Management Firm of the Year award, while Third Rome was named the Wealth Boutique of the Year leaving behind AXIOMA Wealth Management and the last year’s victor Da Vinci Capital.

MFO Alfa Capital interrupted the two-year hegemony of the triumphant UFG Wealth Management and became the Family Office of the Year. Baltic International Bank managed to preserve its status of the Best Private Bank in CIS and Baltic States for the second consecutive year.

Among consultants, Dmitry Zhuk of AXIOMA Wealth Management (Investment Consultant of the Year), Dobrovinsky & Partners (Law Firm of the Year), Ernst & Young (Tax Adviser of the Year) and Aidan Gallery (Art Adviser of the Year) garnered honor. Herculis Partners was named the Start of the Year.

Lancaster Trustees won the Trust & Fiduciary Firm of the Year award. RESO-Garantia was selected the Insurance Firm of the Year. The Judging Panel declared Give Life Foundation the Charity Foundation of the Year.

Olga Degtiareva (URALSIB | Bank 121) was named First Lady of the Year in PBWM industry. Andrey Vdovin (M2M Private Bank) was selected the Gentleman of the Industry. Ruben Vardanian was declared the PBWM Industry Legend.

The Judging Panel of the Awards, chaired by SPEAR’S Russia Editor-in-chief Alexander Gafin, this year included David Iakobachvili, Alexander Svetakov, Irina Rapoport, Andrey Rappoport, Christian Kremer and Feodor Sheberstov.
